Art Mission and Theater Discounted Membership for STYP Members

STYP members can receive a reduced ($25) membership fee at the Art Mission and Theater.

Membership is yearly and includes a discount ($7) on regular screenings and National Theatre Live presentations ($15) as well as one free movie, drink and popcorn pass.

Our members also receive a 15% discount on food bills at Remlik’s Grille & Oyster Bar, 15% off total bills at Burger Mondays Bar & Grille and $1 off a pound of coffee at Laveggio Roasteria.

Freeze Out 5K on February 26th at 6:00 PM

The 3rd Annual Binghamton Freeze Out 5K is a night run at Highland Park – bring your glow-in-the-dark gear and accessories and help the Binghamton Rescue Mission raise money to end homelessness in our community! 6:00 PM Registration, 7:00 PM Start.

NYCON Nonprofit Board Service Workshop at WSKG onMarch 3rd from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Board members are the fiduciaries who steer nonprofit organizations towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as making sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission.

This session will provide board members of nonprofit organizations with a critical orientation to the responsibilities, knowledge, and skills needed to be an effective board member, as well as offer practical guidance for implementing the more challenging aspects of governance practices. Speed Networking For a Cause on March 17th from 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM

From 5:00 to 6:00pm, non-profits will speed network with business professionals with the goal of recruiting new volunteers and board members for their organizations. After the Speed Networking, networking will continue with other business professionals at the After Hours Event until 7:30pm.

Canstruction on April 3rd at 11:00 AM

Join the STYP/Tioga State Bank Canstruction team in the Oakdale Mall as we construct a can structure of Binghamton’s NYSEG Stadium! The design of the structure has been completed, and the acquisition of cans and staging of the cans has begun. Construction of the structure will take place at the Oakdale Mall on April 3rd at 11:00am

Rescue Mission Shed Rehabilitation Project on April 17thfrom 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

STYP will be helping the Binghamton Rescue Mission with the rehabilitation of their shed! The rehabilitation of the shed, which is located behind the Rescue Mission’s main residential building, will involve volunteers replacing gutters, drain spouts, and the door. Volunteers will also add a fresh coat of paint to the shed’s exterior, clean out the interior, and aid in wood removal and replacement. Items will be returned and reorganized within the shed upon completion.

STYP will need approximately 6-8 volunteers to help with this project, so if you are interested in participating, please contact Kyle Nedlik at kbnedlik@gmail.com.

Volunteer for The Color Run with MHAST On May 5-7

The Color Run Tropicolor World Tour is bringing an island-style 5k vacation straight to Binghamton on Saturday, May 7, and they are in need of volunteers for:
Packet pick up on May 5 (12:30-4:30 and/or 4:00-7:30 at the DoubleTree Hotel)
Packet pick up on May 6 (11:30-3:30and/or 3:00-6:30 at the DoubleTree Hotel)
The event on May 7 (at the SUNY Broome campus).
