We have been busy filling the calendar with volunteer opportunities for the civic minded.

Spiedie Fest 2014!

Spiedie Fest is on August 1st – 3rd this year.  STYP helps run the north and south gates and handles duties at the information booth.

Shifts are four hours each.

In exchange for your time you are given:

• A festival t-shirt
• A weekend-long pass to the festival (like getting tickets for all three days)
• Free parking
• Snacks while working
• An entry for a free hot air balloon ride drawing for gate volunteers.

Dick’s Open

Please join STYP on August 15th as we volunteer at the Dick’s Open! STYP has a big role in volunteering at the Dick’s Open during the Friday night concert. We will be volunteering in the main concession tent from 5pm until approximately11pm. All volunteers will get a ticket for Friday access to the golf tournament and a T-Shirt* along with an invitation to a great volunteer party at En-Joie the week before the event. *Please send a message to Christine Stezzi with your t-shirt size.

The main concession tent is right by the concert area so there is the added benefit of being able to listen to the SOLD OUT Zac Brown Band concert for free!

1. Select Volunteer at top right
2. Select Register Now + create a login/password
3. Choose Concessions – Friday Night Concert (please choose one more day you are able to work). STYP is unique in that we are only working theFriday night concert, but we still have to select another day (although the concert is the only time we will be working).

*STYP Volunteers do not have to purchase the volunteer golf shirts – these are for other volunteers like course marshals and security.

*All volunteers are invited to the Dick’s Open Volunteer Appreciation Party which takes place on Friday, August 8th at En-Joie at 5pm. There will be food, drinks, music, and prize giveaways at the party.

Tuesday Meals at United Presbyterian Church with the Rescue Mission

The Rescue Mission with the United Presbyterian Church is looking for volunteers every 4th Tuesday to help with their Community Meal.  Volunteer every month, or just one Tuesday, whatever works for you.

Tasks include Food Servers, Beverage Servers and Dish Washers at the present time.  The dates are July 22, August 2​6, September 2​3, October 2​8, November 25 (Thanksgiving Meal) and December 2​3.

Arrival time is around 4:30, depending on your job.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Vikki Collazo at Victoria.collazo@rmsyr.org

Levene, Gouldin and Thompson Tennis Challenger

We will be volunteering at the Levene, Gouldin and Thompson Tennis Challenger at Recreation Park. If you are interested in participating at any of the following times, please RSVP to Danielle Britton at dfurey@roberson.org by July 10th.
