In case you missed it on our social media pages, these were final words the candidates in the 2024 NY 19th Congressional District race wanted the Southern Tier Young Professionals to know before voting on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Civic engagement is a core value of the Southern Tier Young Professionals. When possible, we provide opportunities to our members to engage with and hear from our local leaders and candidates.

The 2024 NY 19th Congressional District race was one of the most competitive House of Representative races in the country. Thank you again to the campaigns for taking time to share Election Day words to voters during the final stretch of their campaigns.

The candidates of the 2024 NY 19th Congressional District race are listed in the order that they appear on the ballot and include: Democratic and Working Families Party nominee, Josh Riley, and incumbent Republican and Conservative Party of NYS nominee, Congressman Marcus Molinaro.

Join the Southern Tier Young Professionals as we host a room at Hilltop’s annual haunted house for its residents! The Haunted House will be Wednesday, October 30th from 10a-8p and Thursday, October 31st from 10a-3p. We are looking for volunteers to help plan, set up, and man the room. Feel free to choose one or more options! 

Three ways to volunteer: 
Planning: Assist with the theme and contribute ideas for supplies

Set up: We can set up on Monday, October 28th and/or Tuesday October 29th. It’ll be the day and time that works for most volunteers.

Staffing the room: We’ll only need one or two people at any time. We’ll have flexible shifts to accommodate schedules. Lunch and dinner will be provided.

Join Southern Tier Young Professionals as we partner with the Greater Binghamton Chapter of the Binghamton University Alumni Association to watch the Binghamton Rumble Ponies take on the Portland Sea Dogs on Thursday, August 15th. We will gather on the party deck and enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet. Cost is $25 per person. Event is open to all, members, non-members, alumni, and community members. 

The event starts 6 PM. The first pitch is at 6:35 PM.
