Hilltop Valentine’s Day Social, Saturday, February 8th from 2-3:30 PM!

Join the Southern Tier Young Professionals at United Methodist Homes- Hilltop Campus on Saturday, February 8th for a Valentine’s Day Social with the residents of Hilltop Senior Living Center!

The social will begin at 2:30 PM and go until 3:30 PM. Volunteers should plan to arrive by 2:00 PM to help set up for the party. Clean up should take approximately 15 minutes following the conclusion of the event. Be festive. Wear Red or Pink!

This annual event is always a lot of fun, providing great memories for the residents of Hilltop and volunteers alike as we sing, play games, and enjoy refreshments.

Music will be provided by Shepherd and Ewe, a duo composed of Julian Shepherd, cello, and Lee Shepherd, piano, who play elegant and exuberant music from the English Country Dance repertoire and classical music. Julian, a retired biology professor at Binghamton University, is an expert in birds and bugs, flora and fauna. Lee is a retired journalist. For those not familiar with English Country Dance music (if you’ve seen a Jane Austen movie, you’ve heard it!), musicians work from a melody line and improvise the rest. The music spans 600 years, from Medieval times to tunes written last week!

Email Nikita Robinson at president@styp.org with any questions.
