Vote 2020: STYP Q&A with candidates of the 2020 22nd Congressional District race

A core value of STYP is acknowledging and encouraging the importance of civic engagement with our community. To help encourage engagement, we often meet with elected officials to gather bias-free information for our members. This year, we had the opportunity to sit down and have a conversation with all three candidates of the 2020 22nd Congressional District race who include, as follows: Democratic nominee and incumbent Congressman, Anthony Brindisi; Republican nominee and former Congresswoman, Claudia Tenney; and Libertarian nominee Keith Price.

Moderated by long-time member and former STYP president Douglas Carmin, we asked the candidates a series of questions that you may not have heard at prior debates. No questions were shared with the candidates beforehand to gather their genuine reactions and provide the most unbiased experience for our community.

For viewing convenience, all interviews have been combined into one, easy-to-view video available on both YouTube and our Facebook page. Still wondering who to vote for locally? Now is your opportunity to hear from your candidates one more time.

Reminder: Today, November 1st, is the last day for early voting in NY. If you haven’t cast your ballot by the end of the day today, be sure to vote on November 3rd. Unsure of where to vote? Contact your local Board of Elections for polling locations.
